Blockout Curtains Australia

There are rooms in every home that need darkness on demand. The bedroom where you want to sleep past sunrise. The nursery where the afternoon nap depends on it. The media room where ambient light kills the picture. Blockout curtains solve for all of it — but they don't have to look utilitarian to do so.

At Curtain Co. Studio, our blockout curtains are made with the same design consideration as everything else we do. Full light control. Beautiful fabric. Custom-made to fit your windows exactly.

What Blockout Curtains Actually Do

True blockout curtains use a tightly woven or coated fabric that prevents light from passing through — including the glow-around-the-edges effect you get with lesser options. When they're closed, the room is dark. It's that straightforward.

The key is in the fabric and the installation. We guide you through both so your blockout curtains actually block out — not just reduce — light.

Our Blockout Curtain Styles

We offer blockout curtains in two heading styles:

• S-fold blockout curtains — The sleek, wave-like fold that interior designers favour. Architectural and contemporary, they look as good open as they do closed.
• Gathered & pinch pleat blockout curtains — A fuller, more classic silhouette with structured pleating. Timeless and tailored.

Double Blockout and Sheer: The Best of Both

Our most considered solution pairs blockout and sheer curtains on a double track. During the day, draw the sheers for filtered, beautiful light. At night, close the blockout for complete darkness. It's the most versatile curtain configuration we offer, and it's the one most interior designers would recommend for bedrooms and living spaces alike.

Custom Made to Your Measurements

Every blockout curtain we make is custom-sized. Your windows, your measurements, your room — made to fit perfectly, not approximately.
